( What inspired the creation of The Urban Chase?)

Being born and raised in New York I have seen and experienced a lot. One of the biggest problems I’ve seen is the lack of clear communication between Men and Women.

Specifically when it comes to the “Laws of Attraction” I have witnessed a lot of Funny yet in some cases sad scenes. I’ve seen potential lovers sit across from each other on the train for over an hour wishing they could start a conversation and not say anything to each other I’ve seen women play “hard to get” and I’ve seen men come on way to strong. I created The Urban Chase as a place to go for answers about the opposite sex.

(What exactly is The Urban Chase?)

The Urban Chase is an Audience Interactive Improv Comedy based on Relationships Dating and Love. Some of  N.Y.C’s Top Improv/Character Actors create scenes from audience questions and suggestions. Hosted by a True man of Character Motivational Speaker Jake T. Walton the self Proclaimed Dirty Mouth Cupid

(How long did it take from the time of the initial concept to the fact when it became a reality?)

I create new ideas for projects every other day, It’s the ones that reacquires and constantly nag at me that I realize are valuable choose to develop into a Full project.

The Urban Chase was created spring 2005 after a “Bad Break Up” it wasn’t bad for me, it was bad for the person I broke up with, it Came as a Surprise and it was very sudden but I Knew it was the right thing to do at the Time. So many people stay in relationships out of Habit or Complacency. I talked to some friends and I realized what I was going thru was not all that unique and a lot of people go thru the same things. I wished there was a Forum for people to come and Talk about their issues and get Real answers from the experts the Opposite sex. The First showing of The Urban Chase happened Nov 2005

@ The Where Eagles Dare Theater in Manhattan.

(What would you say are the three main draws for couples to come and see the show?)

Well it’s Perfect for Couples Looking for an entertaining alternative to Therapy, Got questions for the Opposite sex , get the Straight answers at our real relationship forum. It’s more constructive than a night of Staring at a Movie screen. The interactive nature of the show stimulates Bonding and Communication that countiues well beyond the show.And last it’s something new to do Tired of Bowling, Clubbing, and Blockbuster Nights Bring your Funny and Horrific dating stories down to The Urban Chase and have the Time of your life.

Models/Musicians and contestants. The Urban Chase is a Perfect showcase for Actors looking to sharpen there live performance skills. Actors are supplied video Trailers of their Performance and a Picture and Bio page on our website.
